 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My partner and I attended the white water tubing at Drumlanrig Castle. Really fun experience and something different to do. All the equipment was provided which is great, really clear instructions at the start and throughout. The fact you also get pictures sent the next day included in the cost rather than paying through the nose for one pic is also a bonus. Mike and Adam (I think, sorry) where superb. Will be booking another experience with them again soon. Highly recommend if your in the area and want something to do for the day.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Brilliant day at Murray’s canyon with Andrew Ogilvie who was a great guide and made me feel very safe as it is a bit mental !! Loved the abseiling which I’d never done before but felt safe and well prepared. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a fun adventure day instead of a walk in the park.

While we were away on our two-week family holiday in the Galloway Forest Park area, we were looking for activities to do and I found Gorge Scrambling with Galloway Canyoning. We decided to give it a go and we had such an incredible time. My partner and our son had never done anything like this before, and they both loved every minute. Mike and Victoria were both seriously friendly, engaging, and made the trip so much fun for everyone. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a canyoning trip the very next week. On Mike’s recommendation, we chose the Lower Murray’s trip, and again, we had a fantastic time. I want to say a personal thank you to Mike for the incredible patience, encouragement, and genuine care he showed my son. From the moment we arrived, he took the time to explain everything in a way that made my son feel confident and excited, not nervous. During the activities, Mike was right there offering guidance, cheering him on, and celebrating every little achievement. You could see how much it meant to my son, and it made the whole experience even more memorable for us as a family. I’ve had a lot of instructors over the years but watching Mike in action was something special. His ability to connect with people of all ages, teach clearly, and inspire confidence while keeping the atmosphere fun and safe is something you don’t come across often, with the occasional little trick thrown in for good measure. His depth of knowledge, attention to detail, and calm, encouraging approach genuinely set him apart from anyone I’ve seen. Highly recommend Galloway Canyoning to anyone visiting the area. You won’t regret it! 2026 Update We came back to Galloway Canyoning this year after having such an incredible experience on our holiday last year, and somehow, this year was even better! We ended up doing four separate adventures with Mike over the course of two weeks. We started with Gorge Scrambling and River Tubing on my partner’s 50th Birthday, followed by Lower Murray’s the next day, and then, the following Saturday, we took on the Full Murray’s Canyon! Mike was absolutely amazing, as always. His knowledge, professionalism and ability to make everyone feel comfortable and confident really are second to none. He has a brilliant way of encouraging you to push yourself without ever making you feel pressured. One of the highlights for me this year was seeing my partner and son both take on the 8 metre jumps. Neither would have been anywhere near as confident doing that without Mike’s support and encouragement. Seeing my son especially grow in confidence from last year to this year has been fantastic, and Mike played a huge part in that. What I really like about Mike is that he doesn't just run the activities, he genuinely cares about the people doing them. He knows when to encourage, when to reassure and, of course, when to throw in the occasional trick! 😂 After last year's experiences, we already knew Galloway Canyoning was brilliant, but coming back this year and doing four different adventures has confirmed it for us. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone visiting the area. Thanks again to Mike for another fantastic couple of weeks. We're already looking forward to coming back and seeing what we can get talked into next! 😂 Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Highly recommended!
